En su encargo público «Desire Lines» para el Central Park de Nueva York ha creado una obra muy poética imaginando una simbiosis entre el acto de caminar y la cultura. Las medidas de los 212 diferentes posibles senderos que recorren el parque como arterias vivas son recogidas en unas grandes bobinas con cuerdas teñidas en una amplia gama de colores. ¿Puede hablarnos del significado cultural y político de esta obra?
In your public commission «Desire Lines you have created a very poetic piece for Central Park, New York. It imagines a symbiosis between the act of walking and culture. There are 212 different possible paths that run through the park like living arteries and they coil round like string dyed in multiple colours. Can you tell us about the cultural and political significance of this work?

Your drawings with scenes of interiors, or natural or urban landscapes are reminiscent of the golden age of Dutch genre painting. Did this type of artistic work have any influence on you during the time you spent living there?
